Deputy Director

Katie Brissette is Deputy Director of Early Learning NH.  She has been with the organization since its inception.

Prior to the merger that formed Early Learning NH, a nonprofit committed to ensuring that all New Hampshire children have the opportunity to reach their full potential, Katie interned with the NH Business Partners for Early Learning, one of the five entities that joined. Her role has changed over the years, from AmeriCorps VISTA to her current position where she is responsible for coordinating the organization's public awareness and early childhood systems building work.

Past experience includes the Every Child Matters Education Fund, the NH Women’s Policy Institute and the State Early Learning Alliance. Most recently, Katie was the Deputy Director of Spark NH, the first ever governor-appointed Early Childhood Advisory Council for the state. There she worked to promote a comprehensive, coordinated, sustainable early childhood system to achieve positive outcomes for young children and their families. Katie represented early childhood on the Governor’s Task Force on STEM Education K-12 and is a member of the Early Childhood Leadership Learning Exchange for Equity cohort.

Katie graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Psychology and a focus on family studies and French. A native of the state, she and her husband live happily in Concord with their three daughters.
